Is Vitamin B17 Amygdalin a Safe Cancer Treatment?
B 17 or Amygdalin is a compound found in the seeds of some fruits such as apricots, apples, peaches, plums, red cherries, etc. It's also found in bitter almonds and green leafy vegetables. Apricot seeds kernels are the richest source of vitamin b 17 . Amygdalin is also known as Laetrile . It was patented in the 1950s and during the 1960s and 1970s it gained popularity as an alternative cancer treatment. But now the FDA has banned it and it hasn’t been available in the U.S. since 1980. Till date, there haven't been any "controlled clinical trials" on amygdalin which shows the comparison between people who receive the treatment and people who don't. Why is it Dangerous?
